Praise The Sun is an independent software studio. We build tools that help people publish photographs without exposing the strangers, bystanders and sources caught in them.

FaceErase finds the faces in a photograph and lets you cover them — blurred, blacked out, or masked — before the image leaves your phone. It is built for reporters filing from protests, for organisers protecting the people beside them, and for anyone who would rather not put a stranger's face on the internet.
One subject. Everyone else protected.
Detection runs on the device itself. Photographs are never uploaded to us, and we have no way to see them.
Processing happens on your phone. Nothing is sent to a server for analysis, because there is no server to send it to.
You do not sign up, and we do not know who you are. A privacy tool that starts by collecting your email has the wrong idea.
No analytics, no advertising identifiers, no third-party software development kits watching what you do.
Photographs carry location, timestamps and device details. We strip them out, so covering a face actually covers the trail.
