Photographs carry more than you meant to share.

FaceErase™

BETA TESTING SOON · iPHONE

FaceErase is an iPhone camera that finds the faces in a photograph and covers them before the photo is saved: with a solid shadow, a bar, a blur, a paper bag or the FaceErase shield. It is built for reporters filing from protests, for organisers protecting the people beside them, and for anyone who would rather not put a stranger's face on the internet.

Faces are found on the phone itself. Photographs are never uploaded to us, and the app makes no network connections at all.

How we build

• On the device

Your photographs are processed on your phone and never uploaded. We run no servers that receive them.

• No accounts

You do not sign up, and we do not know who you are. A privacy tool that starts by collecting your email has the wrong idea.

• No tracking

No analytics, no advertising, no ad identifiers, and no network connections. You can check it yourself in your iPhone's App Privacy Report.

• Honest about limits

No detector finds every face. We tell you that up front, every time, and give you the tools to cover what it misses.
